The Journey Part 1

The Journey to the Botanical Garden Part I

Now that a bit of background has been provided regarding the concept and materialization of Hannah's Botanical Garden; we would like to begin sharing some of the information that has been found along the way. Take for instance several common items found within the household such as cayenne pepper, cinnamon, Epsom salts, and raw honey.

After a bit of research it was found that cayenne pepper has several medicinal properties that may improve one's mood. Cayenne supports the immune system because it is rich in vitamins and minerals (Apelian & Davis, 2020).

Another common spice found in homes is cinnamon. Cinnamon has been thought to assist with blood sugar control, cholesterol, and possesses anti-inflammatory properties.

Epsom salts are commonly known in home remedies to detoxifying the body and soaking to reduce pain and inflammation in sore muscles.

From speaking with others,  it was also noted that the ingestion of local raw honey may help with seasonal allergies.
